bet they used it to write parking tickets in iambic pentameter. classic police fk up.
yeah nah get stuffed. they'd probably write parking tickets in shakespearean
So they used ChatGPT to write court briefings? What could go wrong? 🤡
oh great more tax money down the drain while we wait an hour for someone to answer at the station
nah mate they'll just write 'out of office' on every form
As someone deeply familiar with AI risk, this is precisely why we need strict regulatory oversight on all government use of LLMs. The hallucinations issue is not a joke — it can destroy cases, compromise evidence, and erode public trust. Embarrassing for NZ Police.

too right. meanwhile my dog got kicked for sniffing a mailbox
ffs just use pen and paper like normal people. sick of everythang being AI this AI that.
lol 'deeply familiar' alright mate calm down
love how they 'investigated' themselves and decided it's fine now. solid work lads
pen and paper isn't scalable for modern policing. But I agree AI should be cautiously implemented. Balance is key.
imagine calling 111 and getting a bot that says 'i'm sorry, i cannot confirm or deny the existence of a burglary'
