bloody useless government, always putting profits before people. my cousin died in a workplace accident last year and nothing changed.
here we go again. they never learn. Bernie Monk is a hero for speaking out but who's actually listening this time 🤔
work in mining myself, can't believe they're gutting safety regs. feels like we're being set up for another disaster.
yeah nah, pass the bill. we need less red tape, not more.
get real mate, 29 men died. you think their families would call it red tape?
bullshit. I've seen the shortcuts they take when no one's watching. safety rules are written in blood.

classic boomer take. some of us want to go home at the end of the shift.
Pike River was 14 years ago and they still haven't even recovered the bodies. this country has no shame.
it's terrifying that they're relaxing safety rules right when we need more protections. do we have to wait for another tragedy?
facts. honestly disgusted with National pushing this.
would be nice if the news didn't bury this story. this should be front page.
true. but it sells papers...
nah man, I work in a factory and the current rules are a joke. they just make everything expensive and slow. common sense is gone.
lol nah, safety saves money in the long run. you clearly haven't worked in an unsafe workplace.
