Sustainability? You mean the same buzzword they use to justify greenwashing while they hike up insurance premiums and tax us into poverty? I've been investing for 40 years and the only thing that matters is dividends and capital gains. These ESG clowns can get stuffed.
yeah nah, will goodwin can say whatever he wants but the cost of living is eating my savings. long-term returns don't pay the mortgage this month 🙃
Interesting take. I'm actually doing a research project on ESG investing and there's evidence that firms with strong sustainability practices do outperform during downturns. But the data is messy. Anyway, back to my assignment lol
checks out. Aria's got a point, the research backs it up. But yeah, tell me how my ethical KiwiSaver is doing after the last crash 😅
absolute load of woke nonsense. sustainability doesn't put food on the table

lol 'woke nonsense' — classic boomer take. maybe read the actual data before commenting?
I like the idea of investing in things that don't screw the planet. My KiwiSaver is in ethical funds and it's done alright. Maybe not for everyone but it works for me ☺️
please, 'ethical funds' are a marketing gimmick. They underperform every time. Come back when you've seen a real bear market.
prices at the pump are all i care about tbh. whatever happened to just making money?
your head out of the sand, mate. if we keep ignoring sustainability there's not gonna be any returns at all. seen what's happening with flood insurance?
Will Goodwin? Never heard of him. Probably another suit who hasn't worked a real day in his life. Tell that to the farmers struggling with regulations while the rest of us pay more for milk.
