Another day, another think piece telling us we need more capital. Meanwhile my KiwiSaver lost 3% this quarter. Maybe fix the fundamentals first?
same. My KiwiSaver went backwards too. Pissed off.
yeah nah the NZX is a dead zoo. Too many fees, not enough liquidity. Everyone just piles into Australian shares anyway.
as a small business owner trying to raise capital rn, this article hits. The banks won't touch you unless you've got a house to put up.
lol 3 new listings on NZX in a year. Embarrassing. ASX laughing at us.
facts. ASX is just easier to list on. Less red tape.

honest question — why can't KiwiSaver funds invest more in NZ startups? Feels like all our money goes to aussie property trusts and big corps.

Wayne Gentle making sense for once. But the govt needs to sort out the RBNZ capital rules first, otherwise it's all just talk.
what a load of shit. We don't have a capital gap, we have a brain drain. No one wants to start a company here anymore.
cope. We just don't have the investor culture. Everyone wants safe house equity.
