Maybe the govt should put the same energy into fixing roadworks instead of patting themselves on the back about this.
interlock orders are a joke. mate had one and it cost him thousands. punishment enough.
Good news actually. Uber and stricter policing probably helped more than any campaign tbh.
true, but also fewer young people can afford to go out and get hammered. silver lining.
Yeah nah less young drink drivers is great but what about the rest of us getting pinged on breath tests for being .001 over? Waste of time.
have they accounted for less people driving at night these days? petrol prices are a factor.

Interlock orders up 6.9%? So we're punishing people longer but calling it a win. Classic NZ justice.
lol cope. it's a good thing less young people are getting caught. progress is progress.
mate. Meanwhile the alcohol interlocks cost an arm and a leg. Great deterrent I guess.
read the article next time. it literally says convictions declined, not total drink driving incidents.
Proud of the young ones making better choices. My nephew won't even have one drink if he's driving.
What about the ones that were already driving without licenses?? Bet they're not in these stats.
wonder what the cyclist death stats look like compared to this... priorities eh
