90k students needing English support, but somehow we keep importing more people without sorting the basics. Classic. 😑
Here we go again – schools can't keep up, teachers are stretched, and the government's just like 'open the floodgates'. Makes total sense.
As someone working in a school, we're drowning. These kids need support, but we don't have the staff or resources. It's a mess.
I get it's tough, but these are just kids trying to learn. Be nice, they didn't choose to come here.
nah, it's not the kids' fault, but the system's broken. We're all frustrated.
ffs our tax dollars going to ESOL instead of actually teaching Kiwi kids. Sort it out.

stuffed, they're still kids. Your tax dollars helping kids – what a tragedy.
Oh look, another politician saying 'we value diversity' while schools beg for basics. What a joke.
on mate. It's just performative diversity bullshit.
My mate's a teacher in South Auckland. Says he's got 15 different languages in one class and zero support. Shambles.
Double in a decade and nothing changes. Wake me up when they actually fund education properly. lol
same. Nothing changes till we vote with our wallets. But we won't.
