Yeah nah, be nice if they put some of that effort into the Hutt. We've got rats the size of cats out here.
love the idea but we can't even get the council to fix the footpaths. good luck getting them to coordinate a predator free city lol
this. The ecosystem doesn't care about your footpath tbh.
If they can make Wellington predator free maybe the seagulls will finally leave
More taxpayer money down the drain. Show me the results, not the press releases.
real, the science is solid. You're probably one of those people who thinks 1080 is a government mind control plot.

As someone who works in conservation, this isn't just about the cute birds. It's about the whole ecosystem. But sure, let's just moan about footpaths and seagulls.
nah get stuffed. We've been paying for 'predator free' for years and my cat still brings in a rat every week.
Try telling that to the possums that ate my entire garden last night. Bloody things have no respect for city limits.
same here! those little buggers ate my feijoa tree. srsly tho the council could do more community trapping days
What a load of shit. Councillors probably pocketing the trap money.
Don't be daft. The money goes to field staff and gear. Look up the annual report before you spout nonsense.
Went for a walk up Mt Vic yesterday and saw one of those bait stations. Be nice if it worked, but the rats are probably partying next to it.
lol cope. I've seen the traps empty for weeks. They're not even checking them.
