yeah but they're not paying local taxes after they graduate and piss off

wonder how much of that actually goes to teaching vs admin bloat 🤔
mate, half the 'admin' is marketing to get those students here, it's a racket

bloody hell, 1.3 billion and they still can't fix the leaking roofs at vic
as long as they're paying their way and not taking local spots, i don't see the issue
read the article, it says numbers slump meaning less students overall but fees went up cos they hiked prices per head
less students but more fees? that's just squeezing the poor internationals even harder
lol they rather raise fees than cut useless courses, classic
ffs, why don't we just invest in our own kids instead of propping up unis with foreign cash
if we didn't have them, our kids would be paying even more
