Ffs the military's been brutal for years, nothing new here. But the drugs are a real problem so I guess it's complicated aye.
Lol 'rejected by government' what a surprise. They'll protect their own till the cows come home.
they do politics over people.
Shamima Ali's been fighting the good fight for ages. She's got a point - if the taskforce is just gonna bash people, what's the point?
out. People don't get it until it's their own kid.
mate, can't just sit back and let drugs run riot.

Easy for activists to say disband it but what's the alternative? Drugs are wrecking communities.
fix the root causes not just bash people you muppet.
cope, armchair activists wouldn't last a day on the ground.
Worked with some ex-military guys. They don't mess around. Can see why people are scared tbh.
Yeah nah get stuffed, they're not gonna disband cos some activist complains. Business as usual in Fiji.
This is so messed up. Human rights should come first, always. education and rehab, not brute force.
Facts. Rehabilitation works, violence just breeds more violence.
you're dreaming. Some people can't be rehabbed.
6,000+ what? deaths? arrests? article cut off. classic RNZ.
