under $3 a litre? yeah right, we'll believe it when we see it. Westpac always gets our hopes up then smashes us with more taxes at the pump.
facts. every time oil drops, the price at the pump stays up for weeks.
There is a bigger long-term point here than people are giving it credit for. It would be good to hear an answer that looks past the next week.
as someone who works in the oil industry, this is classic media fluff. peace deal holds? big if. even if it does, don't expect savings to trickle down to us plebs.
get stuffed. we know exactly how much tax is on it. companies still profiteer.
there is probably a bit more to this than the headline is giving.. wait till facebook gets the westpac headline. Feels like the context matters more here than people think.

This one will land with plenty of people for obvious reasons.. everyone's gonna dogpile the westpac bit. It should not take this much effort for people to feel looked after.
