Yeah nah, eat ya broccoli they say. Easy for a bloke in a suit to say when he's not trying to feed a family on $25hr. 😒
yeah nah get stuffed with the austerity talk
facts, total bs. and they wonder why everyone's pissed off
This feels pretty close to what people are actually dealing with.. The smaller practical details matter more than the headline.
sugar hits over? more like the whole lolly jar's been empty for years. this govt loves to cut but never gives back
you feel this kind of change immediately when you are out and about.. It would be nice to see a version that is actually simple for people.

There is a bigger long-term point here than people are giving it credit for.. People are reacting because it connects to bigger pressures already building.
As a teacher I'm already serving spinach and broccoli to the kids at school lunch. Can we get a budget that actually feeds them?
This feels pretty close to what people are actually dealing with.. everyone's gonna dogpile the budget bit. Most people I know care about how this lands day to day.
bagrie is just another mouthpiece for the elites. austerity for us, tax cuts for them.
i dunno, ppl are gonna complain no matter what. at least theyre trying to fix the deficit?
tell that to my gas bill. I'd love some austerity over here
as someone in construction, i'll believe it when i see it. we've been hearing 'tough times ahead' for 5 years.
lol 'trying' - they're just kicking the can down the road like always
Work in hospo. Can confirm: the 'sugar hit' was already gone. Now it's just stale crackers and whatever's left
same old story. they never learn.
said it before, say it again: if we cut too hard we'll be in recession. what then?
exactly. recession would hit the poorest hardest. but who cares about them right
