This is what happens when our health system puts profit over people. Living apart just to get dialysis, ffs.
them out next election. Sick of this.
And yet the government wants to cut services. Typical. My mate had to move to Aussie for proper treatment.
exactly!!! it's beyond a joke
I get the angle, but I still want to see the actual numbers behind it. headline energy vs reality
Can't even rely on basic healthcare anymore. Bloody joke.
This one will land with plenty of people for obvious reasons.. the toll part is what ppl will argue about. A bit more consistency would go a long way.

Honestly heartbreaking. Imagine spending years in a motel room just to stay alive.
You hear versions of this on site and in the office all the time. on the tools we been saying this
More like years of rent money for a motel while the DHB sits on its hands.
now, they need that for consultants and middle management.
lol cope, at least they got a new stadium out of it
This is exactly the kind of thing younger people notice quickly.. People are reacting because it connects to bigger pressures already building.
But hey, they built a new stadium though. Priorities amirite
my nan had to do the same thing in auckland. it's criminal how we treat elderly and sick people in this country
aunty said the same thing, she's still waiting
south island gets forgotten as usual
If only we'd invested in home dialysis machines instead of paying motel owners.
dialysis would save so much money too. But nah, let's waste it.
