Private Northland water supply to be taken over by council after 10 years of poor quality

Taumata Arowai took over Kāeo's private water supply, ordering the Far North District Council to run it after a decade of boil-water advisories and a month without water. It's the first use of these powers; restoration will take time as access and repairs are arranged.
